BMW 320i 2011 Review

BMW has a long reputation for creating luxurious, driver-centric cars. The legendary 2011 BMW 320i quickly became one of their most popular models for its combination of performance, functionality, and sporty feel. Sadly, it was discontinued after 2013. It falls under the fifth generation of their 3 Series lineup.

Design and Dimensions

BMW’s strikingly elegant and unique design language can be found in the 320i 2011. With the signature kidney grille of BMW, it gives an elegant and sporty look with a balanced profile.

BMW 320i 2011 has a boot space of 480L, with a wheelbase of 2810mm and ground clearance of 140mm. The length, width and height of 320i are 4624mm, 1811mm, and 1429mm respectively. The Kerb weight of this vehicle is 1495 kilos. With R16 wheel size, the tire size of this model is 205/60 R. The elegant ground clearance of this car offers a good mix of practicality and sporty outlook, suitable for various road conditions. Engine & Performance

The 2-litre, 4-cylinder engine of 320i can deliver 184Hp @ 5000 RPM max power and 270 Nm @ 1250 – 5000 RPM max torque. With this powerful combo, you can achieve a top speed of around 235 kmph. It runs on an automatic 8-speed transmission, a rack and pinion steering gear type and power steering. It has a minimum turning radius of 11.3 meters.

The fuel tank capacity of BMW 320i 2011 is 60L; giving a mileage of 4.8–4.9L/100Km on the highway and 7.7–7.9L/100Km in the city. It runs on gasoline-type fuel.

The double-joint front spring strut and five-link rear suspension setup handle well on a variety of road conditions, offering a controlled and comfortable ride that is great for Bangladeshi roads. Also, this car has a brake system with ventilated discs on the front and rear sides, with which the 320i provides a comfortable and sporty ride feel.

Safety & Technology

Safety features in the 2011 model included standard equipment like multiple airbags, ABS, and stability control. Technology-wise, it came equipped with BMW’s iDrive system.

Features like leather upholstery, a navigation system, multiple vehicle settings, a head-up display, full LED headlights, a crash warning system, and chromatic rear mufflers are added to this model. In addition to traction and stability control systems, it has a differential and a retuned Dynamic Stability Control system.

For the driver’s safety, full-length side curtain airbags and a front knee airbag may save your vital body parts. Another cool feature in the BMW 320i is called ‘Engine Immobilizer’, which is a theft-proof system that electronically compares the key ID with the vehicle ID.
