Toyota Crown 2014 Review

What comes to your mind when you think of Japanese vehicles? Efficiency, right? But what if I tell you that there are Japanese vehicles that perfectly blend Japanese efficiency with European comfort and luxury? Who wouldn’t want to purchase those cars! Ladies and gentlemen, introducing to you the Toyota Crown series. This series has been in production since 1955 and the Toyota Crown 2014 that we’ll be talking about today is its 14th generation vehicle. I’m sure you’ve already heard the name of the series before, but should buy a Toyota Crown 2014 in 2024? Let’s find out. 

Exterior Design

On the front of the Toyota Crown, unique headlight styling is combined with rain-sensing wipers. Their unique look is reminiscent of European cars since the Crown logo is carved on the headlight. Other than that, a projector bulb and regular signal lights are visible. An integrated LED strip can alternatively be thought of as a system of daytime running lights. There are strong fog lamps below this.

A diamond-patterned grill is included in this set. Consequently, the car appears premium. Unlike other autos, the logo is not chrome-plated. A logo with a glossy sheen is present. ICA sensors, which help with parking and cruise control, are located on the bottom. The vehicle’s appearance is enhanced with a bumper lip that is visible underneath.

The Crown is equipped with exclusive 8-inch alloy wheels. Moreover, the alloy wheels have the Crown logo. All four wheels have the disc brake option, with the two front wheels having ventilated disc brakes. The hybrid symbol is seen on the side of the vehicle, which has a 2-in motor hybrid powertrain. 

Regarding the side mirrors, there are retractable, powered, and winker mirror choices. Keyless entry is possible since there is a smart key. The door knobs also have a chrome pattern that you can see. The crown logo on the side behind the rear door has improved the vehicle’s appearance. 

You’ll see a reverse light and regular signal lights when you get closer to the back. On one side of the tailgate, the Crown logo is visible, while the Toyota logo is visible in the middle. The Hybrid logo is located toward the bottom on the other side. Underneath the tailgate, two ICA sensors are visible. Four silencers are also provided.

The smart key features an opening button for the boot region. The soft-closing tailgate is the standout feature. In other words, the tailgate automatically closes if we unintentionally forget to close it properly. It has a sizable boot space as well. There’s a repair kit under the boot floor. But there’s no spare wheel included. This area also has a storage container visible.

Interior Design

There are two cozy, curved seats in the driver’s cabin. There is also electronic control available for the front passenger and driver’s chairs. There’s lots of headroom and legroom.

The armrest is a little higher in the center compartment than it is in similar cars. A storage container has been added, as is common. This is special since it can be opened from both sides. This implies that it is easily opened by the driver and the front passenger. 

Two cup holders are offered. If you’re not using it, you can close it and store your phone there. The gear lever on the eCVT gearbox is easily controlled. 

There are three chairs in the passenger cabin when you walk in. If needed, the middle seat can be utilized as an armrest. The armrest is also designed to be quite comfortable. Two cup holders are also included. Headroom and legroom are usually sufficient. Because of the large floor hump, it is difficult for the middle passenger. 

Nonetheless, the passenger interior is designed to provide exceptional comfort for two individuals. In the passenger compartment, two additional AC vents have been added. The addition of two AC vents to the roof is the most noticeable alteration. Each of the front seats has seatback pockets as well.

Performance

The Toyota Crown is pushed by a 2.5 liter inline 4-cylinder engine. 220 Newton-meters of torque and 176 horsepower are generated by this engine.

The engine is a 2.5-liter inline-4 cylinder connected to an automated transmission. This vehicle has a rear-wheel drive system. The Toyota Crown is a two-in motor hybrid car, therefore these two motors drive the two front wheels.

The Toyota Crown has a fuel efficiency of 10 kilometers per liter. The gasoline tank has a capacity of 65 gallons. Consequently, you may go 650 kilometers using this capacity.

Ride Quality
